Show Hosts

Lee Adams - Host, Lead Writer, Director of Talent

Lee grew up in Boston where he began acting professionally at 15. For the last twenty five years he has made his living acting, directing and writing for stage and screen all over North America . He has written 16 plays, one of which; "Let¹s Kill The Boss" has seen successful engagements in virtually every state in the U.S. , as well as Canada and the U.K.

Mr. Adams is the owner/Artistic Director of Mystery Cafe , one of the Midwest ’s biggest producers of live interactive comedy theater, performing over three hundred shows per year.

On screen Lee has been seen in myriad television commercials as well as playing Joey Martoni in the series “The Martoni Question” which is due to premier in the fall of 2006.

Lee is an abysmal poker player. Really, really bad. Awful really. Dead money. He is however an above average fisherman and wilderness camper. Lee lives in Minneapolis with his wife Laura and sons Tucker and Calvin who are all much better poker players than Lee. Seriously, he is really bad. It¹s kind of embarrassing really. The fact that we have a host who is as bad a poker player as Lee….he just stinks. You’d think hanging around all the great poker minds at Pokerbeat he would at least pick up a little acumen here and there, but he hasn't. He flat out sucks. God he’s bad.

Dave Eglseder - Host

David Eglseder has been exploring poker since a very early age.  He was playing draw and stud poker for pennies with his siblings at the kitchen table since grade school.  During high school he had weekend games with friends, playing all the crazy wild card games they could invent. He was intrigued with the game of poker and would read anything he could find on how to play the game. As soon as he turned 18, he could be found at the Indian Casinos in Iowa playing 7-card stud and Texas Hold’em.  He learned quickly and made enough money to play in the weekly tournaments.  Winning his first tournament at age 18, tournament poker became his hobby.

David stumbled into the poker business in 1993 while playing poker at an Indian Reservation in California .  The floor person was recruiting poker dealers and was willing to train players.  David learned dealing procedures very quickly and soon was promoted to Shift Manger and Tournament director.  His love for playing tournament poker was easily transferred to planning and directing tournaments.  After four years of learning the business, David accepted a position at a newly opened riverboat back in the Midwest , where he continued directing tournaments.  In 2000, Canterbury Park opened the largest Poker Room in the Midwest and he joined the team hoping to use his experience to plan and direct a major tournament event.  He directed the annual Fall Classic there from 2001-2004, and was invited to direct the World Poker Open in Tunica MS. in 2004.

Now looking for something even bigger, David moved to Las Vegas in 2005 to accept the Tournament Director position at the newly opened Wynn Las Vegas where he is currently employed.  David is looking forward to the challenge of competing in the Vegas market and planning and directing the biggest event of his poker career.

David currently resides in Las Vegas with his wife and 3 year old daughter.  He has two other daughters, both in college, a source of great pride for him.

He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and of course playing an occasional poker tournament.

Extremely excited about Pokerbeat, he hopes to continue to help with the show for a long time.
